Changes to Tax Codes
Following the end of the financial year – 5th April 2022 you may receive changes in tax codes for your employees.
This could be due to you paying too much or too little tax in the previous year and the HMRC want to collect the difference spread over the coming year. It may also however be due to other circumstances such as company benefits you may now be receiving or sharing your personal allowance with your spouse.
All you need to do is to make sure that you have updated your payroll system with the new tax codes before the payroll run at the end of April.
